Hi, I'm Sophie.

I'm the founder and sole designer behind Studio Ottilin — a UK-based surface pattern studio built for people who think a blank wall is a missed opportunity.

My background is in fashion design, and it shows: I design the way you'd cut a bold print for a runway, not a safe one for a showroom. Every collection starts with colour, texture and form pulled from the natural world, then pushed until it's playful, maximalist, and unapologetically loud.

I believe good pattern doesn't just decorate a room — it changes how you feel in it. That's the whole idea behind "dopamine decor": designs with enough joy and confidence built in that they do the emotional heavy lifting for you.

Studio Ottilin patterns are available to license for wallpaper, fabric, homeware and more, and I take on commissions and freelance projects for brands, design studios and individual clients who want something made just for their space.
